Monster The Loch – an epic mass participation boat race on Loch Ness
This September Row Tours presents its first mass-participation boat race on the iconic Loch Ness. The first race of its kind to include all human-powered boats will take place on September 15th 2018 over the 22.7-mile (36.5km) distance. The aim of the event is to be an all-inclusive race for all crews from those trying to break Peter Haining’s Loch Ness record to crews that want to raise money for their chosen charities.
This is the first in a series of annual races on iconic stretches of water around the UK. If you are looking for a break from rowing this autumn you could compete in any human-powered vessel: from SUP’s, Bell Boats, gigs, kayaks or even a humble pedalo!

The world famous Loch Ness is best known for the magic of Nessie and with its vertical edges that go down to 260m in depth (4 times deeper than the English Channel) and only 1 mile wide, who knows what could be down there?! So if you are ready to take on the monster, visit the Row Tours event website at Monster The Loch https://www.monstertheloch.com/ and join in the adventure.
